Danny Boyd

Drums - Vocals

Dan Boyd started playing the drums at the age of 15. He played in a few bands in high school until he landed his first professional gig at the age of 19 for MCA Recording Artists Spittin’ Image. During his tenure with the band he played many high profile shows including Cincinnati’s Riverfront Stadium for 35,000 rockin’ fans. Spittin’ Image enjoyed many successes during the time Dan played with them recording music, touring and doing their own television special.
After losing the support of their label MCA, the band went their separate ways leaving Dan to find his next endeavor. Although the band was known primarily in the tri-state area, the band did sell over 80,000 copies of the album “The Boys A Dancer” nationally and did have many mentions in national magazines like The Rolling Stone.

Dan next became a founding member of the band Shock Tu and once again found musical success. Heavy touring and living the rock n roll life was in full bloom during this time as the band was booked through American Bands Management out of Houston Texas and kept booked constantly for years playing in many different states during this time. Although courted by many labels the band was unable to capitalize on the interest and after years of chasing a record deal with the band Dan felt it was time to look for greener pastures and soon landed a gig with Grudge Recording Artists, The Godz

The Godz was a veteran rock n roll band selling thousands of albums over a decade of touring with major label support. Dan fit right in touring in support of the bands 5th release Mongolians and also shooting a music video for the single Criminal Mind. Although the video was only played in light rotation on MTVs Headbangers Ball the band always played to a packed house from Columbus, Ohio to Los Angeles, California. After finishing the Mongolians tour 18 months later Dan briefly re-joined Shock Tu before retiring his “on the road days” for the search of a more stable life style while still keeping his focus in music.

Dan is now the owner of Moo Pigface Recording Studio where he keeps his fingers on the pulse of today’s music by recording hundreds of Midwest bands in search of their dreams. Having the luxury of owning a studio benefits Remedy greatly. The band has a great place to rehearse and record their music. Dan now balances his love of his studio and the band. One could say he has found the perfect Remedy.
